En el caso de energ\u00eda obtenida de las corrientes de las mareas, el funcionamiento de los dispositivos convertidores es similar al de los aerogeneradores, terrestres o flotantes, que mediante turbinas aprovechan el viento.<\/p>\n<p>En esta modalidad marina las turbinas mareomotrices utilizan la energ\u00eda cin\u00e9tica y potencial del agua en movimiento.
